Below is a list of the Application types that you can lodge online. Please select the required application type and click the Next button to continue.

Property File and Land Information Memorandum (LIM)

Please note: LIM and Property file request application fees are non-refundable & non-transferable.

LIM (Land Information Memorandum) applications:
If you require guidance about what category your property is (to avoid your LIM application being returned), please contact the Property Records Team LIMS@icc.govt.nz or ring 03 211 1777 and ask for the Property Records Team prior to lodging your LIM application.
LIMs have a 10-day working clock. There is no fast-track LIM application service. LIMs are supplied digitally. Printed LIMs incur an additional fee.
Property file request applications:
Property files can take up to 5 working days. Larger or complex property files may take longer to supply.
Not all properties are digitally available yet. In-person viewing may be required for some records.
If you are from outside the Southland region you may consider having a local contact or professional service provider to view records on your behalf.
Note: If you require both a LIM and a Property File, you may request and pay for them separately or combine them into a single transaction using the shopping cart function on each payment page. Once both items are added, proceed to checkout to complete a single payment.
Note: When you get to the property selection screen, please do not select any property address prefixed with "Proposed". ‘Proposed’ addresses are not live and won’t hold records until they are current.

	Application Types	Instructions
	Property File Application	Select this option if you wish to obtain a Property File
	10 Day LIM Residential - Single	Single residential dwelling on 1 record of title. (Note: This LIM type is not for multiple flats on 1 record of title, or any other variances)
	10 Day LIM - Other/Complex.	All other property types not covered above. (e.g. Industrial, Commercial).
