Land Information Memorandum (LIM)

Please note lodged LIMS are non-refundable.
All LIM applications have 10 working day statutory time frames.
There is no fast-track service currently available.
If you require guidance about what category your property is (to avoid your LIM application being returned), please contact the Property Records Team LIMS@icc.govt.nz or ring 03 2111777 and ask for the Property Records Team prior to lodging your LIM application.

currently due to high demand from the very active Southland property market in 2025, we are experiencing a larger than normal demand for Land Information Memorandums. As a result, LIMS may exceed 10 working days. We are working hard to ensure LIMS are issued as quickly as possible. If your LIM may exceed 10 working days, we will contact you via email nearer the issue deadline date.
